ESEA revealed details about their upcoming ESEA Season 25 Global Challenge LAN, also known as the MDL Global Challenge LAN.
As the end of the 25th ESEA season nears, information about the Season 25 Global Challenge LAN has been revealed. After an event in Europe, at the ESL Leicester studios, the Global Challenge action will return to North America, with eight teams traveling to Burbank, California to fight for a $50,000 prize pool.
The LAN will be held on September 23-24, with the prize pool being distributed in the following way:
1. $18,000
2. $10,000
3-4. $5,000
5-8. $3,000
The format for the event, as well as the team list, has not yet been finalized, but it is known that the slots will be allocated in the following way:
North America - 3 spots (Top 3 ESEA Premier NA)
Europe - 3 spots (Top 3 ESEA Premier EU)
Brazil - 1 spot (Winner of ESEA Open Brazil)
Australia - 1 spot (Winner of ESEA Premier Australia)
The Brazilian and Australian competitions are closest to completion. The likes of Chiefs, Grayhound, Hafnet and TeamOne will be hoping to finish on top of their respective leagues and get a chance to impress internationally.
In the two biggest regions, teams such as Space Soldiers, FlipSid3 and Kinguin are vying for Global Challenge spots, while Rise Nation, Mythic and Gale Force are doing the same on the other side of the Atlantic.
